TCL has launched a digital note-taking device, the Note A1 NxtPaper. It is now available for pre-order through Kickstarter.
The TCL Note A1 NxtPaper features an 11.5-inch Canvas Color LCD panel with 2200 x 1440 resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of typical brightness, and a 3:2 aspect ratio.
Its display uses TCL’s NxtPaper Pure technology to reduce blue light and eliminate screen flicker, while a triple-layer 3A Crystal Shield adds anti-glare, anti-reflection, and anti-fingerprint coatings. It also supports TÜV and SGS certification for eye comfort.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek G100 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It packs an 8000mAh battery capacity with 33W fast charging support.
The digital notepad has integrated AI features, including real-time transcription, instant translation, and automatic summarization. TCL also added a dedicated “Inspiration Space” to facilitate better note-taking and idea organization. Additionally, the tablet allows file transfers via LAN, USB, or cloud services like Dropbox and Google Drive, as well as wireless screen casting and split-screen multitasking.
Moreover, the Note A1 NxtPaper supports the T-Pen Pro stylus, which features dual tips, a built-in eraser, and 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity. The brand claimed that the stylus can deliver under 5ms of latency.
Other features include dual speakers, an eight-microphone array, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a pogo pin interface. The tablet weighs 500 grams and has a thickness of 5.5mm.
