
vivo has introduced the vivo Watch 5 in China alongside its new X200 series smartphones vivo Pad SE and vivo Pad5 Pro tablets.
The Watch 5 features a 1.43-inch curved AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 1500 nits.
The frame still uses a circular dial and is available in Night Black and Moonlight White, with aluminum alloy or stainless steel casing options.
It weighs 32g without the silicone or leather straps strap, slightly lighter than its predecessor.
Health monitoring now includes 24-hour tracking of heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, stress levels, and participation in health studies related to heart and blood pressure. It also includes new features like AI Sports Coach, which tracks running posture and offers fat-burning workout plans based on real-time heart rate.
The Watch 5 supports Bluetooth calling, music controls, notifications, GPS, and NFC payments, and is water-resistant up to 5ATM. It also supports WeChat in China.
Battery-wise, the vivo claims the Watch 5 can last up to 22 days in Bluetooth mode. The watch runs on BlueOS 2.0 making it compatible to both iOS and Android.
The vivo Watch 5 is priced at CNY 799 (around PHP 6,199) for the silicone strap version, and CNY 999 (around PHP 7,799) for the leather strap model.
Pre-orders in China are now open, with sales starting on April 29. There is no information yet on global availability.
