Apple Inc. is preparing to add end-to-end encryption to RCS messaging, which Apple started testing in February.
Now, it is included in a developer build of iOS 26.5.
With this update, messages sent via RCS will be encrypted, ensuring that only the sender and receiver can read them.
A wider rollout is expected soon, possibly within the month.
The feature is expected to arrive with iOS 26.5 this May 2026.
