Apple has reportedly selected Google’s Gemini as the core technology behind its upcoming AI-driven Siri upgrade.
According to CNBC, this is a long-term partnership, with Google providing both its Gemini AI models and cloud infrastructure to support Apple’s future Foundation Models, based on information cited by CNBC.
The announcement had an immediate market impact, pushing shares of both Apple and Google higher.
If you might have noticed, Siri’s AI upgrade has been delayed several times too.
Apple said in March 2025 that it is expected to arrive within a year. However, Apple still has not announced an exact release date.
