vivo has officially launched the Jovi V50 5G Series in Brazil. Although some earlier reports suggested otherwise, Jovi is not a new sub-brand.
Here’s why the name changed, in Brazil, the “vivo” brand name is already owned by a company called Telefônica Brasil. Because of this, vivo Mobile decided to sell their phones under the “Jovi” name only in Brazil.
Other than the name, the Jovi V50 5G Series have the same features and specs as the vivo V50 and V50 Lite 5G models available in other countries.
The Jovi V50 5G comes with a 6.77-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 4500 nits.
It features a 50MP front camera, and a rear setup with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an Aura LED flash.
Under the hood, the Jovi V50 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Battery-wise, it packs a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Out of the box, it runs Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15 on top.

Meanwhile, the Jovi V50 Lite 5G also has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, but with peak brightness of up to 1800 nits.
Camera-wise, it includes a 32MP front camera, a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the back.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For the battery, it comes with a larger 6,500mAh battery, also with 90W fast charging.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15.

Jovi V50 5G Series will only be available in Brazil. As of now, pricing details for the Jovi V50 5G Series have not been revealed.
