Apple has officially introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone.
It features a 7.6-inch inner OLED display when unfolded and a 5.4-inch OLED display when closed.
The inner display has a 1878 × 2670 resolution at 430 ppi, while the outer display has a 1398 × 2034 resolution at 460 ppi. Both displays support ProMotion with refresh rates of up to 120Hz, Always-On display, HDR, True Tone, and up to 3,000 nits of outdoor brightness.
The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. It also supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
For cameras, the iPhone Duo has a 48MP Fusion Main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift optical image stabilization, paired with a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view. The main camera also provides 2x optical-quality telephoto and up to 10x digital zoom.
The rear camera can record up to 4K Dolby Vision at 120fps, while the device also supports Cinematic mode, Action mode, macro video, and Dual Capture.
For selfies and video calls, the outer display has a 12MP Center Stage camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The inner display also has an under-display FaceTime camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
The iPhone Duo uses dual built-in lithium-ion batteries and is rated for up to 24 hours of typical use. It can provide up to 44 hours of video playback using the outer display or up to 31 hours using the inner display.
For charging, it supports up to 50% charge in around 20 minutes with a 60W-capable adapter or higher. MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging are supported at up to 25W.
The device comes with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage options.
The iPhone Duo starts at PHP159,990 for the 256GB model. The 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions are priced at PHP175,990, PHP207,990, and PHP254,990, respectively.
