Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has announced that access to its mobile app and online banking services has been restored after an outage on July 15.
The issue was first reported at 1:13 PM, when BPI announced that its app and online banking platform were unavailable.
During the outage, customers were advised to use VYBE, BPI debit or credit cards, nearby BPI ATMs or Cash Accept Machines (CAMs), or visit a BPI branch for urgent transactions.
At 4:30 PM, BPI said it was still working to restore access and extended the operating hours of all its branches until 5:30 PM to assist affected customers.
BPI later confirmed that all services on the BPI app and BPI online had been fully restored.

This is not the first time BPI has experienced a service disruption. The bank also faced an outage from June 14 to 16, which coincided with a payday period.
