Xiaomi 15T Pro Review

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest addition to the T series, the Xiaomi 15T Pro.

Designed to deliver a balance of premium aesthetics and flagship-level performance, the device aims to raise the bar in its category. But how does it stack up against its predecessor, and is it truly a better option this time around? Let’s take a closer look.

Design

When it comes to design, the Xiaomi 15T Pro follows the same path as its predecessor, featuring an aluminum back panel. The overall appearance of the device looks premium; however, it does feel hefty.

It weighs 210g and measures 8mm thick. Despite the solid build, it took me some time to get used to holding the device, as it is quite large.

Around the frame, you’ll find the power and volume rockers on the right side, along with a speaker grille, USB-C port, and SIM tray at the bottom. Both the top and left sides remain clean.

Adding to its premium build, the device also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding submersion in up to three meters of water.

Display

Design-wise, having solid build quality without compromising the overall look is something we expect from devices at this price point. And despite its heft, I genuinely enjoyed my time using this phone.

Flipping over to the display, the Xiaomi 15T Pro sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280×2772, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a 144Hz refresh rate. Outdoor visibility won’t be an issue either, thanks to its impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

Day-to-day use feels fluid, with vibrant colors that make the experience even better. The near bezel-less design also enhances the viewing experience, making it especially enjoyable for entertainment.

What I like most about the display is that it uses a flat panel. Many modern devices opt for curved-edge screens, but those often lead to issues such as accidental touches—something you won’t have to worry about here.

Camera

Now, let’s move on to the camera department. The Xiaomi 15T Pro comes equipped with a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. On the front, the punch-hole cutout houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

In terms of performance, I have to admit the cameras deliver great results. Images come out with vibrant colors, impressive detail, and sharpness. However, there are instances where the output looks a bit oversaturated. Still, the results are good enough to share online without any hesitation.

Low-light photography, on the other hand, was a bit more challenging. The camera sometimes struggles with light flares, making it tricky to capture clean shots. That said, it still manages to produce good color reproduction and decent detail in darker environments.

As for the front camera, the results aren’t mind-blowing, but they are decent. You also get a variety of filters and effects to enhance your selfies if you want. Even without them, the photos are clear and social media-ready.

When it comes to video, the rear cameras can record at up to 8K@30fps (without stabilization) and 1080p@30fps (with stabilization). Meanwhile, the front camera is capable of recording up to 4K@30fps.

Performance

With the cameras out of the way, let’s move on to performance. The Xiaomi 15T Pro is powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Out of the box, it runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top. A nice touch here is the reduced number of pre-installed apps. While there are still a few bloatware applications, they can easily be uninstalled to free up space.

In terms of day-to-day use, the device delivers excellent performance. Whether for productivity tasks or casual browsing, it handles multitasking effortlessly with no noticeable slowdowns.

We also tested it with Zenless Zone Zero at max settings, and the gameplay was smooth. There were occasional dips, but they weren’t significant enough to affect the overall gaming experience.

Here are some of its benchmark results:

Battery

As for battery, the Xiaomi 15T Pro packs a 5,500mAh cell paired with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

In our video loop test, the device lasted around 15 hours and 32 minutes, which is impressive for its class. Charging is also remarkably quick, topping up from 0 to 100% took only about 32 minutes.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi 15T Pro is available in two configurations: the 12GB + 256GB is priced at PHP37,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at PHP 39,999.

Verdict

The 15T Pro offers strong performance, a bright and fluid display, capable cameras, and reliable battery life. Its size and weight may be challenging for smaller hands, but overall, it delivers a flagship-level experience at a lower price than most premium devices.
