Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform has been officially introduced in the mid-range smartphone segment.
According to Qualcomm Inc, the chipset is built on a 4nm process and uses a Kryo CPU with speeds of up to 2.6 GHz.
It also features an updated Adreno GPU, which delivers up to 21% better graphics performance compared to the previous generation.
The chipset includes Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI improvements. Power efficiency is also improved by around 8%.
For imaging, the platform uses a Spectra ISP with AI-based enhancements. It supports features such as low-light “Night Vision” processing and up to 100x zoom. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps.
On gaming, it supports Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including adaptive performance management and AI-based frame rate stabilization.
Connectivity upgrades include a 2.8 Gbps download speed, Wi-Fi 7 support, and Bluetooth 6.0.
Devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 are expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.
