OpenAI Rolls Out ChatGPT Atlas for macOS

 ChatGPT Atlas

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, a new web browser that combines normal browsing with built-in AI tools.

Built on the same Chromium engine used by Google Chrome, Atlas lets users browse the web normally while getting real-time help from ChatGPT in a built-in sidebar.

You can ask it to summarize articles, explain topics, translate text, or analyze information right from the page you’re viewing.

The browser also has a feature called memory, which helps ChatGPT remember your preferences or past activity to make future suggestions. Users can also turn this off or clear it anytime.

OpenAI also introduced Agent Mode, a preview feature that lets ChatGPT take small actions online, like opening links, filling out forms, or planning trips.

NOTE: This feature is only available for paid users and is still in testing

ChatGPT Atlas Availability

ChatGPT Atlas is currently available for macOS, with versions for Windows, iOS, and Android expected soon. The browser will work with both free and paid ChatGPT accounts, though advanced tools like Agent Mode will remain exclusive to paid plans.
