Activision and Infinity Ward have announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which will launch on October 23, 2026.
The campaign is set during a conflict on the Korean Peninsula, following a North Korean invasion that escalates into a wider global war.
Players will take on the role of a South Korean soldier named Park, while Captain Price returns in a separate storyline.
Multiplayer introduces updated gunplay, movement mechanics, and a new dynamic map called Kill Block, which changes its layout between rounds.
The game will launch with 12 core multiplayer maps, along with Gunfight and large-scale Big War maps.
DMZ also returns, featuring extraction-based gameplay where players complete objectives, gather loot, and attempt to extract from contested areas.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release worldwide on October 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Keep in mind that the game will not be available on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
