Xiaomi has revealed the first official details of its upcoming SkyNomad SUV.
The page describes the SkyNomad as a new smart SUV under Xiaomi Auto that features a “smart configurable large cabin.”
According to the company, the interior is designed to adapt to different situations through flexible space arrangements.
Xiaomi says the cabin can be configured for different uses, such as a personal workspace, a seating area for two, a meeting space for three people, or a family-friendly interior. The company states that the goal is to provide a vehicle with a cabin that can be adjusted based on the user’s needs.
The name SkyNomad combines the words “Sky” and “Nomad.” Xiaomi says it reflects the idea of having a personal space that can travel with the owner.
The reservation page is currently available in China, allowing interested customers to submit their contact details and choose a Xiaomi Auto store for consultation.
While Xiaomi Auto vehicles are currently available only in China, the company has been showcasing its electric vehicles in the Philippines during the launch of its smartphones, tablets, wearables, and AIoT products.
Xiaomi has not yet announced the full specifications, pricing, or launch date of the SkyNomad. More details are expected to be revealed at a later date.
