Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has officially introduced Grok 3, its latest (AI) artificial intelligence model.
The new Grok version is available for free on grok.com, where users can select it in the model selector. It runs on xAI’s Colossus supercomputer, powered by 100,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, and comes in two versions, the basic one and the mini.
When asked to describe itself, the AI model states that its purpose is to help understand the universe, assist with various tasks, and offer an “outside perspective” on humanity.
xAI introduced Grok 2 in beta on August 13, 2024, as confirmed by the company’s announcement and related posts on X.
Following this, xAI officially released on February 18, 2025. The launch was marked by a live demo streamed on X at 4:00 a.m. GMT+8, showcasing the latest advancements in the AI model.
