Airbnb is developing an AI-powered travel assistant to help guests search for accommodations, compare listings, and plan trips.
The company plans to begin rolling it out in the first half of 2027.
Unlike traditional chatbots, the assistant will use interactive features such as maps, photos, calendars, and itineraries. It will also help guests make bookings and manage reservations, payments, and support requests.
Airbnb is also introducing AI-powered search, filters, listing summaries, and property comparisons for guests. Hosts will get AI-generated earnings insights and dynamic pricing recommendations, along with tools to create 3D floor plans.
Meanwhile, Airbnb said its AI assistant resolved around 40% of customer support issues without human agents in Q3 2026, up from one-third in the previous quarter.
