vivo has announced the official launch date of the upcoming vivo X Fold6, going official in China on June 26.
The vivo X Fold6 has since been confirmed to sport a ‘Blue Hole’ colorway, inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes, along with a 2.5D metal frame with vertical edges and rounded corners.
The foldable will boast a 200MP sensor, paired with Zeiss APO super periscope telephoto lens. It will support a Blueprint V3+ imaging chip and the Vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter, which is equivalent to 200mm.
Powering it inside will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, which is said to be specifically designed for foldable devices, with a 111% reported increase in NPU performance than the previous generation, while power consumption is reduced by 56%.
Meanwhile, both inner and outer screens will use the latest generation of luminescent materials, with the 8.02-inch inner screen sporting the Samsung M14 luminescent material. It will also ship with the new OriginOS 6 Fold, along with an upgraded version of vivo’s multi-app productivity Atomic Workbench.
Reports have surfaced online indicating may include a 6,900mAh battery, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 6.51-inch cover display.
vivo is expected to continue revealing additional information about the X Fold6 as the launch approaches.
The company has also begun accepting pre-orders for the phone in China, through vivo’s official China online store, as well as major e-commerce platforms including Tmall and JD.com.
