Apple has introduced a new Apple Watch band called the Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop for Black History Month.
Apple said the launch is linked to support for organizations that run creative and educational programs in under-resourced communities. These include:
- Boys & Girls Clubs of America
- Urban Arts in New York
- Youth Music in London
- Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney
- Enactus México in Mexico City
The band was designed by Black creatives and allies at Apple. It features the red, green, and black colors of the Pan-African flag and is made by weaving recycled polyester yarn around thin silicone threads. The band is soft, textured, and resistant to sweat and water.
The new watch band comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes, with band sizes ranging from 0 to 12.
It is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 or later, Apple Watch SE, and all Apple Watch Ultra models (46mm only).
