During his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. officially raised the fare discount for persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and students to 50%.
Previously, these groups were entitled to a 20% discount. The new 50% discount now applies to all major railway systems in Metro Manila.
For easier reference, below is the updated regular fare matrix as of April 2025.

In addition, MRT-3 now accepts GCash, Maya, and debit and credit cards at all stations. LRT-1 and 2 are also set to roll out the same payment options soon.
