Apple’s upcoming AirPods with built-in cameras have reportedly leaked.
A video found in the macOS Tahoe 26.7 Release Candidate shows a person wearing the AirPods while holding up a book and the cameras were able tp identify the book.
Appearance-wise, the AirPods look similar to the current AirPods Pro, but the stems appear slightly thicker.
The AirPods are not expected to be used for taking regular photos or recording videos. Instead, the cameras would provide visual information to Siri and Visual Intelligence.
The camera-equipped AirPods could reportedly launch as early as September. They are also expected to sit above the AirPods Pro 3 in Apple’s lineup, potentially under the rumored AirPods Ultra name.
Apple has yet to officially announce the camera-equipped AirPods.
