Starlink-based roaming promos are coming soon through the GlobeOne app.
According to Globe, the service works as a roaming connection that automatically switches to Starlink satellite coverage when Globe’s cellular signal is unavailable, including in areas with weak or no mobile signal.
According to Globe’s field tests, the service can provide internet speeds of around 2Mbps to 4Mbps.
To use this, users need to enable roaming on their phones and subscribe to the promo before going into areas with no signal. Globe also said the service may work up to 12 nautical miles from the coast.
Globe Postpaid subscribers under Plan 1499 and above may get the service for free, while other users may need to subscribe to it as an add-on.
A Starlink section is already visible on the GlobeOne app, although the promos are not yet widely available.
