After teasing the chipset a few days ago, MediaTek has officially launched the Dimensity 9400e, a new flagship mobile processor.
The Dimensity 9400e is a refined version of the earlier Dimensity 9300+.
Built using TSMC’s 3rd-gen 4nm process, it features:
- 1x Cortex-X4 at 3.4GHz
- 3x Cortex-X4 at 2.85GHz
- 4x Cortex-A720 at 2.0GHz
- Alongside 8MB L3 + 10MB SLC cache.
While the 9400e supports slightly lower memory speeds of 8533MHz LPDDR5X, it makes up for it with improved wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi speeds up to 7.3 Gbps, and Bluetooth 6.0.
Apart from that, the chip supports UFS 4.0 storage and MediaTek’s NeuroPilot SDK, allowing it to run on-device AI models.
For gaming, it includes HyperEngine and Adaptive Gaming Technology, plus a new Frame Rate Converter that reduces power use by 40%. It reportedly scores over 2.45 million on AnTuTu and supports 120FPS gaming.
