Adobe has announced that it will discontinue the sale of Adobe Animate.
Adobe Animate has been part of Adobe’s animation lineup for more than 25 years.
Existing users can continue using Adobe Animate even after sales end. Enterprise customers will receive support until March 1, 2029, while all other users will be supported until March 1, 2027.
For users on the Creative Cloud Pro plan, Adobe noted that some Animate features can be replaced by other apps.
Adobe After Effects can handle advanced keyframe animation through tools like Puppet, while Adobe Express offers simple animation effects for photos, videos, text, and shapes.
Adobe Animate will be discontinued starting March 1, 2026. It will also no longer be available for download to new customers.
