It’s been over half a year since realme last added a smartphone to its number series. But this month, the brand is back with a new device for the local market. And here it is, the realme 14 Pro+ 5G!

First things first, the design. The realme 14 Pro+ 5G has a smooth finish that makes it resistant to fingerprint smudges, keeping it clean and sleek.
It features a pearl-like design. If you look closely, you’ll notice a fine glittery effect with streaks of silver and gold.
Just like previous models in the number series, the 14 Pro+ 5G sports a circular camera module. However, unlike its predecessors, this new model features a triple-flash system, which we’ll discuss later.
The device also weighs 194 grams for the white variant and 196 grams for the gray colorway.
Around the frame, the power button and volume rockers are positioned on the right side. At the bottom, you’ll find the USB-C charging port, speaker grille, and SIM card slot, while the left side remains clear as usual.
As for its durability, the device is equipped with IP69, IP68, and IP66 certifications, making it fully dustproof and water-resistant.
Now, onto the display. The realme 14 Pro+ 5G boasts a 6.83-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2800 × 1272 resolution, and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness.
Using the device under direct sunlight is not a problem, as it provides excellent visibility.
It produces a good color display too, watching from different angles is not hard since the colors are consistent.
The realme 14 Pro+ 5G features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, 50MP periscope sensor, and 8MP wide. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera.
For daylight photography, the rear cameras produce detailed and sharp images, although colors can sometimes appear slightly oversaturated.

But what I noticed is that its zoom capabilities are great. Colors may be a bit inconsistent, but it’s clear, with no blurred lines or distorted areas.

Its performance in low-light photography is also good. However, taking photos in dim areas might take a few seconds. Thankfully, the device features a triple-flash system, making it easier to capture photos at night.

As mentioned, the smartphone features a 32MP front camera that delivers high-quality selfies.
It captures true-to-life skin tones without graininess, ensuring natural-looking selfies in well-lit areas. Taking selfies in low-light can be slightly saturated, but still looks good!
The built-in beautification filter, while available, can sometimes be too intense. For a more natural appearance, turning it off may be a better option.
Under the hood, the realme 14 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, running on realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15.
Using the device for movie marathons is also a great experience! The speaker is immersive, and the overall performance is smooth, I never experienced any lags or stutters while using it.
When it comes to gaming, we tried playing Call of Duty mobile and we never encountered any problems at all. It was smooth and responsive and we never encountered any heating problems. Here are some of its benchmark results.
Also, even after using it during camping and swimming, the device performed smoothly. I didn’t have a hard time using it, even with a wet screen and hands, and its visibility remained good even under the sun.

Now, let’s go to its battery feature. The realme 14 Pro+ 5G comes with a 6000mAh battery
Charging the device using its 80W charger from 0% to 100% took us 1 hour and 27 minutes.
Meanwhile, our video loop test drained the battery from 100% to 0% in 14 hours and 23 minutes, which I find impressive, especially considering that it only takes an hour and a half to charge back to 100%.
Finally, let’s talk about pricing. The realme 14 Pro+ 5G is priced at PHP27,999,
In my experience, it is a reliable device, especially in the camera department, it delivers quality performance. Beyond that, it also features a large battery, ensuring extended usage, a definite plus for users on the go.
In terms of design, it stands out with an eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing look. Its lightweight build makes it easy to carry, adding to the overall convenience.
One of the standout features is the underwater mode, perfect for those who love beach trips and summer vacations. If you’re looking for a smartphone that can accompany you on your upcoming summer getaway, this might just be the ideal choice.
