Xbox Cloud Playtime Now Available for Testing

Xbox is testing a new cloud gaming option that lets users play games by purchasing playtime without a Game Pass subscription.

Users can choose from three playtime packs: 10, 25, or 50 hours.

The paid packs offer ad-free gaming, shorter waiting times, and high-quality streaming. Purchased hours remain available until they are used.

Xbox also offers a free cloud gaming option with ads for users who do not have a Game Pass subscription.

Starting October 22, eligible Xbox Insiders can test the paid playtime option on supported devices. The feature is expected to roll out to more users in November 2026.

Users can join the Xbox Insider Program by downloading the Xbox Insider Hub on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Windows PC.

Availability and supported games may vary depending on the user’s location, device, and account eligibility.
