At CES 2019, Asus unveiled their latest ultrabook dubbed as the Zenbook S13. Judging by its size, it’s already looking a great alternative to the latest MacBook Air that was released last year. All thanks to that display.

The main spotlight belongs to the display of the Asus Zenbook S13 which packs extremely slim bezels allowing for 97% screen-to-body ratio. If you’re not sure how that looks like, just take a look at the images. And if you’re thinking the webcam is hidden underneath a button or display, you’re wrong. It’s conveniently located at the top of the lid acting as a notch but outside the display. Personally, I don’t mind the look and it helps in opening the lid itself.

Build-wise, it’s an all-aluminum design complete with that Asus’ brush finish. It also features the company’s “ergo lift” that raises the bottom part of the laptop for better air cooling.

As for the specs, the display clocks in at 13.9-inch 1080p. It’ll support up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage and 16GB RAM. Should you need more power out of the slim laptop, you can opt for an Nvidia MX150 GPU at 15W.

No dongle needed here as it offers a USB-A port, a microSD card reader, and two USB-C ports sans the Thunderbolt 3 support. Of course, it comes with Windows Hello and fingerprint reader within the trackpad.

No word yet when it’ll be available in stores but it’s expected to start at $899 or Php47,000 for the base model that comes with 4GB RAM.
