Reports say that Motorola is developing the Edge 30 Ultra, the world’s first smartphone to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. The flagship phone is expected to launch in China before appearing on international markets. Motorola, which Lenovo owns, is also planning a next-generation Edge series phone dubbed the Motorola Edge (2022).
Geekbench reports that the Motorola Edge (2022) has an octa-core processor, with six CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two clocked at 2.50GHz. The Edge (2022) is equipped with a Mali-G610 GPU. The Edge is powered by Motorola’s Dimensity 1050, announced last month.
Specifications of the rumored Motorola Edge
The Motorola Edge (2022) will feature a 6.5-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. A 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and a 128 GB or 256 GB storage option will be available.
In addition to a 32-megapixel selfie camera, Edge (2022) will feature a triple camera system featuring a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. In addition to the primary camera are a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device will probably come with a 6,000mAh battery to support fast charging. Rumors say the new mobile phone will come with a stylus.
