Microsoft Adds New Copilot Tools to Forms and Word for iPad

Microsoft has introduced new Copilot features for Microsoft Forms and Word for iPad.

In Microsoft Forms, Copilot now works through Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat.

It can review the active form and suggest improvements, such as reorganizing sections, adding missing questions, identifying conflicting settings, and making multiple edits at once. It can also summarize form responses and help create basic branching logic, although more advanced branching still requires manual review.

Users can ask Copilot to rewrite, edit, or improve text while keeping the document’s existing formatting and structure. Changes can be previewed before they are applied and can also be undone if needed.

Some limitations remain. Copilot cannot create a new document, insert images, or add and edit comments in Word for iPad.

The feature is available to Microsoft 365 Copilot subscribers using Word for iPad version 2.109 (Build 26051516) or later.

The updated Forms is rolling out globally to Microsoft 365 commercial Copilot users. Consumer users will continue using the previous Copilot integration for now.

Meanwhile, Word for iPad now supports collaborative document editing with Copilot, a feature already available on desktop, web, and other mobile platforms.
