Meta Gets Animated About Privacy With New Teen Webtoons!

The tech company Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, has started a series of webcomics to teach teens. In the Philippines how to protect online data and privacy.

Meta made the three webcomics in line with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and Child Rights Network’s Kabataang Digital Campaign. Each one has a different story that talks about important issues for teens.

Meta privacy webtoon were made after talking to Filipino teens from different social and economic backgrounds all over the country.

Meta created the standards to protect children and give teens more control over how they use social media. in a way that works for them and helps their health.

From URL to IRL,” on the other hand, is about an online gamer name Josh. With the help of his friends and a firm talk from his mom. Josh learns how important it is to protect his personal information.

Each webtoon comprises three episodes you can watch or download for free on the Digital Tayo website. You can also play interactive educational games and take quizzes there.

Meta said that soon they would enable reading of the webcomics in Filipino, Cebuano, and other languages. It will also work with other groups and government agencies to get the word out further.
