LTPO technology has already become an essential requirement for high-end cell phones, as it provides several advantages such as energy savings thanks to the adaptive refresh rate in these devices, which reduces or increases the frequency in Hertz of the screen according to the content displayed.
Now analyst Abhishek Yadav has reported through a source on Weibo that the next generation of LTPO technology will soon be released under the name of LTPO 3.0.

According to the source on Weibo, the LTPO 3.0 technology will be mainly focused on energy saving, which is quite impressive considering that screens with LTPO 2.0 can adjust their refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz. This version is on the Galaxy S22 Ultra screen, for example.
The leaker mentions that the new generation should be announced in April 2022, so we can expect the first smartphones with it to be released in 2023 or later this year.
Unfortunately, the source does not mention more details about the new generation of LTPO, but we are already looking forward to what to see in the new versions, after all, Apple has already demonstrated that it is capable of greatly increasing the autonomy of iPhones with this technology, occupying one of the best positions in energy efficiency tests among high-end smartphones.
