The Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced on August 6, 2024, that it plans to roll out E-Patrol Services nationwide to make transactions more accessible and promote road safety.

What are E-Patrol Services?

To put it simply, E-Patrol Services will provide renewals for driver’s licenses and motor vehicle registrations.

This initiative aims to make LTO services more accessible to everyone. With this, even those in remote areas can easily access important LTO services.Additionally, this initiative supports their goal of enhancing road safety for over 20 million vehicles in the country.

Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza noted that Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista has directed efforts to simplify land transportation regulations for Filipinos. By expanding mobile services, people can save time and avoid trips to LTO offices.

DOT aims to make things easier for everyone by expanding E-Patrol Services, so people won’t need to visit LTO District Offices. This aligns with the President’s Bagong Pilipinas initiative, discussed during his 2022 State of the Nation Address. In that address, Philippine President Ferdinand “BBM” Marcos Jr. outlined his plans to modernize the country through digital changes.
