Last May, Lenovo released a teaser showing a new smartphone with ultra-thin bezels. It was speculated that the device will have an “all-screen” display and a screen-to-body aspect ratio. However, it seems that these speculations were wrong. The Lenovo Z5 was launched yesterday and it turned out that it features the infamous notch similar to recently released smartphones.
Nevertheless, even with the notch, the Lenovo Z5 still features an almost bezel-less display. It sports a 6.2″ FHD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It is powered by the Snapdragon 636 along with an Adreno 509 GPU. The smartphone also contains 6GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64/128GB. The device is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
As for its camera setup, the Lenovo Z5 features a 16MP + 8MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP selfie snapper.
The newly released smartphone’s price depends on its variants. The 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM is priced at CNY 1,399 (approx. PHP 11,464) and the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM is priced at CNY 1,799 (approx. PHP 14,742). It will be available for pre-orders in China on June 12 from 10:00 AM onwards. Unfortunately, there is still no updates on when it’ll be available here in the Philippines.
