Lenovo to upgrade handsets from Kitkat to Lollipop

Lenovo is upgrading bunch of its devices from Kitkat 4.4 to Android 5.0 Lollipop. A total of seven smartphones will receive Lollipop update in the second quarter of 2015. In this post we discussed about the Lenovo to upgrade handsets from Kitkat to Lollipop.

Between April 1 and June 30 of 2015, the company will update the handsets A5000, A6000, P70, S90, Vibe X2, Vibe 22 and Vibe 22 Pro.  Most likely, Vibe 22 Pro will get the update first being the company’s current flagship smartphone. The company also revealed that it will mount more Lollipop update over the air (OTA) to more devices in the future.

Motorola, HTC and Xolo have started releasing Lollipop update to couple of their devices. As of February 2, 5.0 Lollipop is present on 1.6 percent of all current Android devices, based on the Android distribution numbers from Google.
