Despite the slow re-emergence of the tablet market, Lenovo released the Tab V7 with a starting price of INR 12,990 or nearly P10k Philippine peso. Apparently, the company has a strong tablet market share in India, accounting for 40 percent.

Lenovo Tab V7 Announced in India
To continue supporting its large market share, the company wants its buyers to use the Tab V7 as a tablet and smartphone. For starters, it has a large 6.9″ FHD+ IPS LCD. In terms of connectivity, the tablet supports 4G VoLTE connection. As for the innards, we’re looking at a Snapdragon 450 paired with either 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB. That, with the option to expand via microSD slot.
Making the device a true tablet is the pairing of a large 5180mAh battery and powerful, Dolby-enhanced surround front-facing speakers. For what it’s worth, there’s a 13MP autofocus sensor on the back and a 5MP sensor fixed focus on the front. The battery is touted as all-day battery life, delivering up to 10 hrs playback/browsing and up to 30 hrs of talk time. Interestingly, there’s a USB Type-C port, headphone jack, and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The top model of Lenovo Tab V7 is priced at INR 14,990 or roughly P11k. It also comes in Slate Black color only. We expect the tablet to be India-exclusive, as soon as it starts selling on August 1.
In the Philippines, your alternative to that is the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 8″ that costs P11,990. Although it doesn’t use 18:9 aspect ratio, the chipset is more powerful and the front camera supports face unlock.
