Lenovo has introduced the Legion Go 2, the successor to its handheld Windows gaming console, during the IFA 2025 event.
The Legion Go 2 keeps the same 8.8-inch display size and 144Hz refresh rate as the original, but the resolution has been lowered from 2560 × 1600 to 1920 × 1200.
In exchange, it now supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), VESA TrueBlack 1000, 500 nits brightness, and 97% DCI-P3 color coverage. The lower resolution and VRR are expected to improve battery life.
Inside, it runs on AMD’s new Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU with Radeon 890M graphics.
Battery-wise, it packs a 74Wh, with support for 65W wired charging.
Like its predecessor, the controllers are detachable and can be used in console, handheld, or tablet mode.
The right controller can also function as a vertical mouse for FPS games.
For software, the Legion Go 2 is the first non-ASUS handheld to offer an Xbox OS experience. Users can switch between Windows 11 and an Xbox-style interface for improved performance and battery life, similar to the ROG Ally.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 will launch first in Europe later this month in Eclipse Black, priced at around EUR999 (approx. PHP66,799).
