Leica recently launched a full-frame mirrorless camera in the Philippines, the Leica SL3-P.
The Leica SL3-P sports an all-black finish with black control buttons, and incorporates a magnesium and aluminum build with synthetic leather covering and IP54 splash and dust protection. It measures 141.2 x 108 x 84.6 mm in dimensions and weighs approximately 768 grams without battery, SD card, and camera bayonet cover.
One of its highilights is the new 44MP BSI Full-Frame Sensor with Dual Resolution Technology, which offers 44MP or 26MP output. It features up to 14 stops of dynamic range, Advanced Machine Learning Hybrid AF, ISO 50-200,000 low-light performance, and Camera-to-cloud integration via Frame.io.
Moreover, its Multishot mode offers up to 176 MP maximum resolution when required, while it supports 8K open gate video recording in the native 3:2 format. The SL3-P also comes with up to 40 fps with full AF support, 819 phase-detection AF points, and 5-axis image stabilization.
Users can customize the functions in the Control Centre, setting wheels for photos and videos can be configured independently, and dials can be assigned to frequently used settings.
For storage medium, it supports UHS-II, UHS-I, SD/SDHC/SDXC card, and CFexpress card type B. Interfacaes include ISO accessory shoe with additional control contacts, Synch jack/timecode interface , HDMI socket 2.1 Type A, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, audio output 3.5 mm/audio input 3.5 mm, and multifunctional handgrip communication interface.
Other features include Maestro IV processor, 8GB buffer, electronic shutter, 3.2-inch LCD monitor, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, Leica L bayonet with contact strip lens mount, and Leica BP-SCL6 rechargeable battery.
The Leica SL3-P Body only is priced at PHP 423,000 and is now available through the Leica Store at Greenbelt 5, Makati.
