With the upcoming 2016 updates rolling in, Riot was all in, with the changes and introduces an upcoming new champion select and queue system for League of legends, this coming season. Find out more about this upcoming new champ select and queue systems.
Lets start things off, with the very fresh new champ select and to be honest, it looks different and unique, but i can’t clearly say its a good change until i cant get my hands on it. The changes mainly gets you more pumped up and this change primarily looks like something of a larger scale, in comparison to the minor changes Riot did for champ select back at season 5. These new changes on champ selection might actually bring the thrill back in champ select and the new feature in the pick and ban phase, wherein everyone will have their chance to provide a ban, which is good, since primarily, banning champions was a job for one person only and it does get a bit troublesome at times, specifically on misbans, which can often spark team quarrels within the game. All in all the new pick and ban phase and the new champ select might be a good addition to league, but for now, i can only expect the best for it, though it won’t rely on it being too good.
For the Queueing part, its gonna be a bit more complicated, with Riot introducing the well known position features, straight out of Teambuilder mode. Its pretty neat that we can finally get a decent positioning feature in normal and ranked queue, which is something that would probably solve a few issues on fighting over, which player will go to this position, but truth be told, this, does open up for certain trolls to get into action, with the specific roles you’ll be playing, one might go for a particular role, then troll and pick a different champion, which i think won’t be something that Riot couldn’t control over. However, the new stuff looks great and i, myself will be waiting for these new updates to roll over the PH server and we’ll see whether its something worth Riot’s time.
