iPhone 12 Pro Looks to Bring 120Hz ProMotion and 3x Camera Zoom

While we did discuss the reason why you shouldn’t buy an iPhone right now in a previous report, it seems like the new rumor will add to the reasons that we’ve mentioned, further keeping you from purchasing Apple’s device. According to another video by EverythingApplePro (in partnership with XDA Developers’ Max Weinbach), the same person who released the first batch of iPhone 12 series renders, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature wider angle of Face ID recognition, 120Hz ProMotion display, and 3x camera zoom.

The clear trend in smartphones is the high-display refresh rate. Apple has included this feature first on the iPad Pro from two years ago. Dubbed as 120Hz ProMotion, the high refresh rate dynamically changes between 60Hz and 120Hz for smarter battery consumption. But with the inclusion of 5G modems in the Bionic A14 chipset, iPhone 12 Pro is expected to be a power-hungry device. However, Apple wants to maintain the great battery life of the iPhone 11 series. Apparently, the company will use a massive 4400mAH battery for the iPhone 12 Pro Max which we think will make the device heftier than the predecessor.

With the smaller notch, Face ID recognition is said to have wider angle support. As for the cameras, the LiDAR scanner is expected to enhance autofocus performance as well as the accuracy of portrait mode. While the upgrade of the telephoto lens is not as drastic as the one found on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the switch from 2x to 3x optical zoom is still an upgrade, nevertheless.
