Intel Launches Core Series 3 Processors

Intel Core Series 3

Intel has announced its new Intel Core Series 3 processors for value-focused laptops, commercial systems, and edge computing devices.

The company says the new chips are based on its latest architectures and built using the Intel 18A process.

The processors are positioned as an upgrade option for users with older PCs, especially those on typical five-year upgrade cycles.

Compared to older systems, Intel claims the Core Series 3 offers better performance and efficiency, including improved single-core and multi-core speeds, higher AI-related GPU performance, and lower power use.

Additionally, the processors also support up to 40 TOPS for AI workloads.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and support for up to two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Intel also highlights all-day battery life for laptops using these chips.

Moreover, Intel stated that the processors will also be used in edge devices such as POS systems, robotics, and smart infrastructure.

Some models are also positioned as alternatives to low-power AI edge chips, with performance comparisons made against Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano in specific tasks.

Intel Core Series 3 Processors Rollout

Systems using the new Intel Core Series 3 processors are expected from multiple manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Samsung, and others.

Availability starts immediately for some consumer and commercial devices, while edge systems are expected to start in Q2 of 2026.
