Infinix is a well-known brand in the Philippines, especially for offering high-performing smartphones at affordable prices. Now, they’re stepping into the world of Android tablets with the Infinix XPAD. The question is, can they deliver the same level of quality as they did with their smartphones?
Infinix isn’t particularly famous for its designs, but they’ve taken a different approach with the XPAD. While the design looks simple, it still offers a premium feel. The back panel features a unique two-tone design, a patterned finish on the left side and smooth aluminum on the right. It has a solid build, and the device feels durable in hand.
Despite weighing 496g, the XPAD feels light when carried, especially since it’s mostly used on a stand or with both hands.
On the top, you’ll find the power button, volume rockers, and a SIM tray with an SD card slot. The device has dual speakers on both the left and right sides, along with a USB-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the right.
The XPAD features an 11-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, making it a solid choice for entertainment. The screen delivers crisp, sharp details and vibrant colors.
However, with a peak brightness of just 440 nits, it’s not the best for outdoor use. But the faster refresh rate provides a smooth experience, making the XPAD stand out in the entry-level tablet category.
The Infinix XPAD is equipped with 8MP cameras on both the front and rear.
Rear Camera Sample Shots
These cameras perform decently in good lighting conditions, capturing sharp and detailed shots.
Selfie Camera Sample Shots
Both cameras support 2K video recording at 30FPS, though they lack image stabilization.
Under the hood, the XPAD is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Running on Android 14 with XOS 14, the tablet delivers reliable performance, despite the slightly outdated G99 chip.
It handles gaming and productivity tasks well, and our test with Mobile Legends showed smooth performance with minimal frame drops. However, the device did get warm after about an hour of gaming.
The Infinix XPAD comes with a 7000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.
In our video loop test, the battery lasted an impressive 16 hours and 12 minutes. Charging from 0% to 100% took around 2 hours and 38 minutes.
The WiFi-only version of the Infinix XPAD is priced at PHP 7,499 and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Meanwhile, the 4G LTE version, which is the model we reviewed, costs PHP 9,499 and offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
For their first attempt at a tablet, Infinix has managed to deliver a competitive and affordable device. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly tablet, the Infinix XPAD offers good battery life, a decent display, and reliable performance, all for under PHP 10,000.
