Infinix XOS 16 Features Revealed

Infinix has officially announced its latest update, the XOS 16 with added AI features.

XOS 16 now offers new wallpaper styles and AI-generated themes.

A new Depth Effect feature allows wallpapers to blend smoothly between the lock screen and home screen. Users can choose from styles such as anime designs, doodles, and AI-created portraits.

There are also several AI-powered productivity tools, such as the following:

• One-Tap FlashMemo, which can turn notes into actions such as calls, calendar events, or directions.
• Ask Folax that allows quick idea saving
• Mind Hub that organizes content automatically. AI Writing helps improve text, and AI Suggestions recommends apps based on usage patterns through a dedicated AI panel.

For media consumption, XOS 16 introduces YouTube Summary for short video highlights and a Video Battery Saver to reduce power usage during streaming.

Cross-device sharing is expanded with Touch Transfer for iPhone, which uses NFC to transfer photos, including Live Photos, without an internet connection. The feature requires a companion app on the iPhone.

It also offers Bypass Charging and Battery Self-Repair, which aim to slow battery wear and extend lifespan.

XOS 16 also improves usability outdoors with motion sickness relief, better touch accuracy in wet conditions, and sweaty hand detection. Security is enhanced with a Find My Device function that remains active even if the SIM card is removed.

For gaming, the update includes frame interpolation, AI-assisted controls, and features such as voice commands and a voice changer. Infinix also announced Gameshift, a dedicated gaming zone that will be introduced with XOS 16.

Infinix’s XOS 16 will be pre-installed on upcoming Infinix smartphones, and rollout for eligible existing devices will begin soon.

Also, there is currently no official local rollout date for the Philippines. Stay tuned for the list of eligible devices.
