The Chinese company quietly made the Huawei Y6s available in the Philippines with a P6,990 price. It features a two-tone back design that reminds us of the Google Pixel 3 series. However, the material is based on polycarbonate instead of glass. Furthermore, it’s the same design that we’ve seen from Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. Available in blue and black colors, the budget phone is expected to go on sale starting December 14.
If you’re all about looks, the Y6s may be a good choice. But if you’re more interested in specs, this isn’t the one for you. For starters, the display is a bit small by today’s standards — reaching 6.09″ only. It uses an HD+ IPS LCD while running on a meager 3020mAh battery. That already charges via MicroUSB but at least you still have a headphone jack and a capacitive fingerprint scanner. Packing 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, that’s paired with MT6765 octa-core chipset. Camera-wise, we’re looking at an 8MP f2.0 selfie cam housed inside a teardrop notch and a 13MP f1.8 main cam.

This is just the Y6 Pro 2019 with a fingerprint and bigger storage. Not surprised, since the us ban, huawei can only re-release phones that have google support, if they were released prior the ban taking effect.
