HUAWEI has announced the upcoming release of the HUAWEI WATCH D2, its latest smartwatch in the WATCH D Series.
Notably, this model is the first in the Philippines to feature Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), which offers users continuous blood pressure tracking throughout the day.
Hypertension is a significant health issue globally, affecting approximately 1.28 billion adults aged 30 to 79. In the Philippines, studies indicate that 37% of Filipinos have hypertension, with many unaware of their condition.
The HUAWEI WATCH D2 aims to assist users in monitoring their health more effectively by providing a 24-hour assessment of blood pressure levels.
The smartwatch is designed to be lightweight for comfortable all-day wear and features an automatic reminder system for users to check their blood pressure.
The ABPM functionality allows users to customize blood pressure measurement intervals, accommodating various scenarios throughout the day.
In addition to blood pressure monitoring, the watch includes the HUAWEI TruSense System, which tracks heart rate and other health metrics, along with sleep monitoring capabilities.
Users can quickly generate a Health Glance report, although it is important to note that the device is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
The HUAWEI WATCH D2 will be available for purchase starting October 18 through platforms like Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide.
Customers can secure a discount by paying a deposit of PHP 1,000 from October 7 to October 13, receiving PHP 2,000 off their total when paying the balance between October 14 and October 20.
