HUAWEI has officially unveiled the Kirin 9050 Pro during the launch event for the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone.
The Kirin 9050 Pro follows the Kirin 9000, which was introduced with the HUAWEI Mate 40 series in 2020.
The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 tri-fold is also the first device to use the new processor.
The Kirin 9050 Pro introduces HUAWEI’s LogicFolding architecture, which shortens signal transmission paths, helping reduce latency.
HUAWEI says the Kirin 9050 Pro delivers up to 42% higher performance through a new CPU architecture that supports hyper-threading. The chipset also features a new GPU, modem, and NPU, along with improvements to heat dissipation.
