HUAWEI recently posted a schedule for a flagship product launch on December 12 and will take place in Dubai. The post indicates that the HUAWEI Mate X6 will go global as it reads “Unfold the classic as a new era of flagship foldable excellence begins.”
To recap, the HUAWEI Mate X6 is a foldable smartphone sporting a 7.93-inch flexible OLED LTPO internal panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1800 nits of peak brightness.
Meanwhile, there’s also a 6.45-inch 3D quad-curved OLED LTPO external display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 2500 nits of peak brightness, as well.
The brand has disclosed the chip that powers the device, but it comes equipped with up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
For battery, it packs a 5,110mAh battery capacity with 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Camera-wise, it boasts a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and OIS. Both the inner and outer displays come with an 8MP camera.
For its build, the device features a basalt architecture which brings stronger signals, more reliability, and stronger heat dissipation. It is built with second-generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass, carbon fiber inner screen support layer, super-strong wing aluminum body frame, new basalt water drop hinge, and ultra-high thermal conductivity graphene material.
It is available in Obsidian Black, Cosmic Red, Deep Sea Blue, Nebula White, and Nebula Gray colorways.
Pricing details of the HUAWEI Mate X6 are yet to be revealed. The event will likely also include the HUAWEI nova 13 series and the MatePad Pro 13.2. Official information will be announced during the event on December 12.
