Just recently, it was reported that Huawei has filed a patent for a semi-modular design that allows for even thinner bezels. Rest assured, the company has stated that the device will still be resistant to water and dust while containing anti-static properties.

Huawei’s design is a bit different from recently released bezel-less smartphones. It will contain four metal frames around the display panel that lies on top of the main housing and stick to the sides with glue. Once again, the company assures that the design will still enable the device to be water and dust resistant thanks to its high-quality build and strong adhesive.
People are currently debating if this design is a good or bad thing. Some say that the device might easily break since the side frames aren’t really joined with the main body.
