HONOR has confirmed that it will launch the Magic V5 foldable phone on July 2 in China.
The announcement was made during the 2025 MWC Shanghai event by HONOR CEO George Zhao.
According to rumors, it is expected to feature a 7.95-inch 2K+ LTPO inner display and a 6.45-inch outer screen with 200MP main camera.
Under the hood, it may run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chip with CPU speeds up to 4.47GHz and a 1200MHz GPU.
The phone is expected to pack a 6,100mAh battery, the largest in a foldable so far, with support for 80W wired and wireless charging.
The Magic V5 is expected to be the world’s lightest and thinnest foldable phone.
While the exact size and weight were not disclosed, leaks suggest it may be around 8mm thick when unfolded and weigh between 210 and 219 grams.
HONOR also shared that the Magic V5 will include advanced AI features.
It will support a personal knowledge system, AI agent collaboration, PC-level productivity, and seamless connection with other HONOR devices.
