HONOR has officially launched its first flip foldable smartphone in China, the HONOR Magic V Flip. It boasts a 4-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED cover display, the largest yet on a foldable smartphone. The cover display takes up nearly the upper back space, leaving only a 2.87mm external screen border.
The main display sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate HDR 10+, DCI-P3 color gamut, BT.2020 color space, 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, up to 3000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core chipset with Adreno 730 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB UFS 3.1 internal storage, and 4800mAh battery with 66W fast charging via USB Type-C.
Camera-wise, the Magic V Flip comes with a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with a 2.5cm macro option. Upfront is a 50MP Sony IMX816 selfie camera.
The HONOR Magic V Flip also comes with a limited edition high-end model in partnership with Jimmy Choo. The device will go on sale starting June 21 in China.
