Users have been using the “OK Google” voice command since 2013. Now, Google is rolling out a new voice command called “Hey Google”. Although it was initially created for Pixel devices exclusively, the company have decided to release it on Google Assistant as well.
The “Hey Google” voice command can be used as a wake-up call or to perform Google searches, and even bring up the Assistant. To enable the new feature, you’ll need to re-setup the voice model. You can manually do this by going to Settings > Google > Voice.
Assistant is getting more versatile with the new features such as commute navigation suggestions, broadcast, wake-up calls, and more. These additions will be very convenient to those who rely on hands-free tasks.
