GTA 6 Confirmed

GTA V, the most recent installment in the Grand Theft Auto series, was released on PS3 and Xbox360 in 2013, and it continues to gain popularity and earnings to this day. However, many of us are still expecting and waiting for the next GTA game, and Rockstar has confirmed that they are working on a new Grand Theft Auto game after years of rumors and claims.

According to the tweet below, Rockstar Games said “We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.” Yep I know, we’re just as excited as you are but this is it! The following series after GTA V will be called GTA 6 or GTA VI, following the naming scheme that Rockstar has done since GTA IV in 2008.

According to speculations, the game would be located in a Miami-inspired Vice City, because some fans believe Rockstar slipped an easter egg of the first screenshot of GTA 6 within the GTA Trilogy remastered, which was released last November 2021. On other reports, Rockstar Developers patented a new NPC Navigation System last year, and this program was designed specifically for traffic behavior. The proposed technology would result in a more realistic and immersive traffic simulation and it might be employed in the sequel.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has postponed the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X until March 2022. They also said that these expanded and enhanced versions will feature new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, HDR options, ray-tracing, texture and draw distance upgrades, faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, advanced haptic feedback, and much more. There’ll be a new standalone version of GTA Online available on both consoles, which will be available free for the first three months on PS5.

There are no official specifics on when GTA 6 will be released, but we are looking forward to it and believe it will be within the next 1-3 years from now.
