Google is gearing up for some major improvements with its upcoming Tensor G5 chip. According to a reliable leak from @OreXda on X, Google is taking charge of the entire development process for this chip.
This means they’re designing the CPU, GPU, and the backend components in-house.

But here’s the real kicker! They’re also looking to team up with TSMC and utilize their cutting-edge 3nm manufacturing process.
Why is this such a big deal? Well, it allows Google to have complete control over the chip’s design, making it highly optimized for specific tasks like machine learning and photography.
This is especially great news for Pixel fans who can expect some remarkable performance in the Pixel 10 series, scheduled for release in 2025.
So, while we have to wait a couple of years for the Pixel 10 series to arrive, Google’s move towards in-house development and potential use of TSMC’s 3nm process is interesting!
