Google Will No Longer Sell Nexus 5

Google finally said goodbye to Nexus 5. The company announced that they have stopped producing its 2014 flagship phone and no more stock will be going on sale since Google doesn’t have any units of it left.

Google already removed the ‘buy’ option from the Nexus 5 page in the Play Store.

The Verge was told by a spokesperson of Google: “While some inventory of Nexus 5 still exists (with our retail and carrier partners), our focus is on the Nexus 6 at this time.”

Despite the launching of the Nexus 6, many still favored Nexus 5 given that the successor was far bigger and more expensive.

Nexus 5 sports a 4.95” screen and a resolution of 1920x 1080 display (445 ppi), full HD IPS. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 800, 2.26GHz and is armed with 2GB RAM with 16 Internal Memory expandable to 32 GB via microSD. 1.3 MP front camera and 8MP rear camera complete the package.

While, the Nexus 6 has a 5.96in screen, to be precise, with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560, powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, backed with 3GB of RAM – so it’s not like it isn’t a tasty piece of hardware.
